Bearing box installation:

1, standard type

Several methods of mounting the bearing housing with snap rings and retainer plates.

Mounting the bearing with the set screw will cause deformation of the bearing cover and should be avoided as much as possible.

2、Flange type

When installing a flanged linear bearing, the precision of the surface of the bore of the bearing housing to which it is fitted must be precise.

3, adjustable type (small opening type)

With the bearing perpendicular to the opening in the bearing housing, a uniform circumferential preload can be obtained.

4, large opening type

If used in conjunction with a suitable housing, large-open bearings can also be adjusted for clearance, even with lighter preloads.

5, precautions during installation

When the linear bearing is installed in the bearing seat, auxiliary work should be used to avoid directly hitting the end face or the seal ring. The bearing should be evenly introduced, and the buffer plate should be used for lightly tapping.

To pierce the optical axis into the linear bearing, the center line of the shaft and the bearing must be aligned. If the shaft is inserted obliquely, the balls may come off, or the cage may be deformed, causing damage to the linear bearings.

The applied load should be evenly distributed over the entire bearing, especially when subjected to momentary loads. Two or more bearings should be used. Linear bearings do not withstand rotating loads or they can cause accidents.
