Long winter may be strong to cool the field orchard to keep warm

In response to the possible strong cooling weather, relevant experts put forward countermeasures at the provincial winter natural disaster trend meeting held on the 21st to ensure the safe winter production of agricultural production.

Meteorologists estimate that the winter temperature in the northern part of the province is 0.5-1 °C lower than normal, and the precipitation is 2 to 50% higher than normal. The temperature in the southern part of the basin is close to normal, and the rest of the province is slightly higher than 0.5 °C. The change of cold and warm is large, and there may be a staged strong cooling process and regional low temperature in the winter season.

To this end, the experts propose the following countermeasures:

● Strengthen the field management of the planted Xiaochun crops. For some fields with poor drainage conditions, efforts should be made to reduce the humidity in the field; for the seedlings and weak fields, timely topdressing should be done; Crop resilience; conscientiously carry out monitoring and control measures for small spring crop pests and diseases, and strengthen monitoring and control of wheat rust overwintering.

● The earthquake-stricken areas should be prepared for the cold and warmth of livestock and wintering fruit trees. For the temporary construction of the barn, strengthen and reinforce, trap and prevent wind, and at the same time, prepare enough wintering feed for the livestock. For the wintering fruit trees, do a good job in the cold protection measures of the orchard, such as wrapping the straw on the trunk, and digging the orchard to the orchard. When there is a cold wave, watering, fumigation, etc. should be used in time to reduce the low temperature hazard; after the cold wave, the frozen leaves or branches should be removed in time, and the fertilizer should be added to the fruit trees in time.
