Amino acid feed for broilers

1. L-Lysine salt: The chemical name of L-lysine is L-2,6-diaminoacetic acid, white crystal. Lysine is often the first or second restricted essential amino acid due to its high nutritional requirements and low levels of feed ingredients. The content of lysine in cereal feed is not high. Although the content of bean feed is high, soy cake or soybean meal as raw material for chicken feed is a by-product of processing. Lysine will reduce activity when it is heated or stored for a long time. Although there are many lysines in animal feed such as fishmeal, there are similar problems of inactivation. Thus, the lysine that can be utilized in the feed is only about 80% of the value obtained by chemical analysis. Antagonism between lysine and arginine is still present in the nutrition of lysine. Lycopene is often added to the feed of broiler chickens and has a high content, which tends to reduce the utilization of arginine, so it is necessary to supplement arginine at the same time.

2. DL-methionine: is an optically active compound, which is classified into D type and L type. In chicken, L-form is easily absorbed by the intestinal wall, and D-form is converted into L-form by enzyme to participate in protein synthesis. The industrially synthesized product is a racemic compound of L-form and D-type mixture. It is a white flake or powder crystal with a special odor of a weak sulfur-containing compound. It is easily soluble in water, dilute acid and dilute alkali, and slightly soluble. In ethanol, insoluble in ether, the pH of its 1% aqueous solution is 5.6~6.1.
