It is suggested that we plan a new layout of resource strategies in contrarian situations.” At a seminar on the analysis of mineral resources held by the China National Institute of Land and Resources Economics on December 23rd, Ten experts from industry research institutes and research institutes conducted special analyses on coal, oil and gas, steel, non-ferrous metals, non-metals and even the entire mining economy.

Experts believe that as the global economy slows structural adjustment this year, the domestic macroeconomic situation has entered a new normal, and the supply and demand of mineral resources have also undergone profound changes, and many new situations and problems have emerged. The global mining situation has basically continued the downward trend since 2011, and it is still shrouded in the cold current and maintains the trend of “optimizing the basement adjustment”. In the future, with the accelerated recovery of the global economy, the Chinese economy is expected to grow steadily. In 2015, overseas investment in the mining industry will continue the trend of rebound in mergers and acquisitions of mining enterprises this year, and “going out” may win more opportunities. In the coming period, the bulk mineral product market will continue to lack the power support, and the slow growth of mineral resources such as coal, structural overcapacity, and high import volume will become the norm. It is difficult to see major changes in the global crude oil supply oversupply fundamentals.

Experts pointed out that the mining industry's entry into the trough is precisely a good opportunity for China's mining development concept transformation and industrial intensification, large-scale and structural depth adjustment. The experts proposed to increase the readjustment of the mining structure, promote pilot reforms in key minerals such as oil and gas, and coal, and further play a decisive role in market allocation.
