How to prevent motor burnout? Dalan Motor teaches you 6 strokes

The electric motor is fundamental to keep the hydraulic system running properly, but in actual applications, the burning of the electric motor is a common occurrence. In order to avoid the motor being burned in operation, in addition to taking all necessary protective measures before operation, and see the 6 strokes that Dalan Motor teaches you.

1, keep the motor clean

1 During operation, no dust, water stains and other debris are allowed in the air inlet for at least 3m to prevent inhalation into the motor, short-circuiting medium, or damage to the wire insulation layer, causing short circuit, increasing current, and increasing temperature. The surface burned the motor.

2 To ensure that the motor has sufficient insulation resistance and good ventilation and cooling environment, the motor can maintain a safe and stable working state during long-term operation.

2, keep the motor often working at rated current

1 Motor overload operation, the main reason is due to the excessive load of the drag, the voltage is too low, or the mechanical jam caused by the drive.

2 If the overload time is too long, the motor will absorb a large amount of active power from the power grid, the current will increase sharply, and the temperature will also rise. At high temperature, the insulation of the motor will burn out.

3 When the motor is running, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the transmission is operated flexibly and reliably; whether the concentricity of the coupling is standard; the flexibility of the gear transmission. If there is a stuck card, stop it immediately and find out the cause and then run it.

3. Check if the three-phase current of the motor is balanced.

For a three-phase asynchronous motor, the difference between the current of any one phase of the three-phase current and the average of the other two currents must not exceed 10%, so as to ensure the safe operation of the motor. If it is exceeded, it indicates that the motor is faulty and must be ascertained.

4, check the temperature of the motor

1 Always check the temperature of the bearing, stator, casing and other parts of the motor for abnormal changes.

2 For motors without voltage, current and frequency monitoring and without overload protection, monitoring the temperature rise is more important.

3 If the motor bearing is overheated and lacks oil, if it is found that the temperature rise near the bearing is too high, it should be stopped immediately.

4 Whether the rolling element and the raceway surface of the bearing have cracks, scratches or damages, whether the bearing clearance is excessively shaken, and whether the inner ring rotates on the shaft or the like.

5 Any of the above phenomena occurs. All bearings must be renewed before they can be reworked.

5. Observe the motor for vibration, noise and abnormal odor.

1 If the motor vibrates, it will cause the load of the load connected to it to increase in different degrees of heart, resulting in an increase in the load of the motor. When the load is overloaded, the motor will be burnt.

2 In the operation of the motor, especially the high-power motor, it is necessary to check whether the anchor bolt, the motor end cover, the bearing gland, etc. are loose, the grounding device is reliable, and the problem is solved in time.

3 Noise field sound and odor are precursors to the abnormal operation of the motor and serious faults. The cause surface must be discovered and found at any time.

6, to ensure that the startup device works properly

1 The technical state of the motor starting device plays a decisive role in the normal starting of the motor.

2 The vast majority of burned motors, the reason is mostly caused by the abnormal operation of the starting equipment. If the starting device has a phase loss start, the contactor contacts are arced, fired, etc.

3 The maintenance of the starting equipment is mainly clean and fastened. If the contacts of the contactor are not clean, the contact resistance will increase, causing the heat to burn out the contacts, causing phase loss and burning the motor;

4 Corrosion and dust accumulation of the core of the contactor's suction coil will make the coil suction less tight, and strong noise will occur, increase the coil current, and burn the coil to cause malfunction.
