On Wednesday, the European Commission approved six kinds of genetically modified corn for food and feed processing within the European Union.
According to the European Commission, the six corn varieties can be used for food, feed, import and processing, but they cannot be grown within the European Union.
The European Food Safety Authority's test results show that these six genetically modified corns are safe and the EU has made a decision to approve them.
The European Commission’s approval is valid for ten years. Any commodity produced by GM corn must have a genetically modified logo.
